Greetings from the middle of Indiana. I’m a ceramic hobbyist who works in small batches from a garage studio. I love to make stuff, and you might just love some of it too.

I make cups, mugs, and other functional ceramics for around the house. Never consistent, I tend to make whatever I make and am tied more to the process than the final product.

The name Morningside comes partially from that exploration of trying something different mentioned above. It’s a celebration of new possibilities and new beginnings as I make this idea of creating ceramic work for others a reality. The other part of the name is a hat-tip to the attention to detail and craft I learned in my grandpa’s dusty wood shop on Morningside Drive when I was young. He was crafty, but he was also kind. While my small in-home studio satisfies my personal appetite for making things by hand, it also gives me a chance to pass along a little delight to your day, and I’m sure he’d smile about that.

Whether you’re looking for your new favorite mug or the perfect gift for a friend, I appreciate you supporting a local potter and stopping by my little corner of the internet. I hope you find something you—or your friends—love.
